BIRD 2005 International Art Award Announced Final Winners
BIRD 2005 International Art Award organized by Beijing Nature Culture Center and supported by Beijing Jiayi Art Saloon and Changqing Art Fund, have announced its final winners the recent days. The theme of competition is: Bird—Life and Dream.
It collected planar art works from various materials and painting styles including oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, print painting, comic work, illustration, and charcoal drawing. The judgment of the competition was from art critics, professional artists, culture and nature scholars, and art officers from supporting institutions organized by Beijing Nature Culture Center.
The Best Cartoon Work went to the Holland artist Willem Rasing. Chinese drawer Xiaoqiang Hou and 11 foreign artists gained the Special Awards. And there were 33 Honour Mentions involving Chinese artists Dachuan Xiam, Xuehong Zhou and Guo Liang.
