Saint Just-Le-Martel has become the Capital of Caricature, Press and Humour cartoons in the last twenty year. It is situated right in the center of France. 12 kilomelres away from Limoges, well known for its Porcelain.

Every year, its “Salon” attracts thousands of visitors. Many famous French or foreign cartoonists and caricaturists have come to St Just-Le-Martel.

For the 23^rd  time (!) Saint Just-Li-Martel is preparing its《Salon de la CARICATURE,DU DESSIN de prose et d’HUMOUR》… Proving that way its vitality, the enthusiastic tenacity of the organizers, the friendly trust of the whole profession.

Although experience has been acquired along the years, this setting-up is not a “small business” as you can imagine and every year is a new challenge.

Nothing is ever fully acquired, even after 22 successful editions, even if St Just Festival is today the most ancient, without any doubt the most important of all manifestations dedicated to press and humours cartoons in France and in Europe… Even if it’s seriousness, its professionalism (at best meaning of the word), the quality of its associative engagement are unanimously recognized…

For the 23^rd edition, we need your support and participation, your presence through drawings of course but also “personally”, even if it should only be for a short visit between next September 24 and October 3.

It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to take part to this 23^rd edition.

It is the “BIG PAPER of the YEAR2004”, events and caricatures of their actors that we would like to offer to our visitors on this occasion:

l         On the “Front” page, the spectacular big events of the year 2004,whatever fields it might be…

l         On “Political” pages, foreign or domestic pollcy, cartoons recalling events, facts and incidents that marked the previous months, that troubled our country or shook the world.

l         Also caricatures of the protagonists, those who liven up our newspapers just for a few years or a few weeks and that the wind blows away, and those on the contrary who write down on a long-term basis their name in history and really influence the marching of the world…
